Michael Jackson is dead

Michael Jackson died at the age of 50, Thursday, June 25, 2009 according to the L.A. Times after suffering a cardiac arrest. The entertainer, who was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center after collapsing at his home, was reportedly not breathing when firefighters arrived on the scene.

At 6:12 p.m.CNN carried an interview with Brian Oxman, the family attorney, who was at the hospital with the family, who could not confirm the report that Michael Jackson was dead. He did express concern about his health, the extensive program to get in shape for his upcoming concerts and the medications that Michael Jackson was taking. Controversially, Oxman also likened Michael Jackson’s situation to that of Anna Nicole Smith, as an enabling situation where he was on a lot of drugs.

At 6:21 CNN interview with Zack Holt from TMZ.com which was one of the first media house to report he died, states that the medical team that arrived at Jackson’s home could not revive a pulse and rushed him to the hospital where he later died.

At 6:25 p.m. on Thursday,  June 25, 2009 – CNN confirmed from the L.A. Coroner that Michael Jackson is dead !
