The great day of love is to be celebrated this Saturday February 14. In the commercial arena it is a great week for selling greeting cards, gift items, chocolate, particularly flowers. People go to great lengths to buy expensive items, clothes etc. for just one day what they should be doing all year round… expressing love and appreciation to their loved ones. Isn’t it hypocritical to shower on those we say we love on this one day, if we disrespect, disregard or abuse them during the rest of the year?
True love comes from God. He first loved us and demonstrated this over 2000 years ago in presenting to us the best gift of all, Jesus Christ his Son. This love is not given on one day only, but all days. This love is unconditional. God is not look for anything in exchange for his love, no strings attached. This love is unchanging. God’s love will always be the same; he doesn’t get tired of us and forsake us for someone else. This love is unfailing. God’s love wont breakdown, or disappoint us. This is the best love of all. Jehovah God is the ultimate lover.
So while we are getting into the excitement this Valentine Day, should we think about always having a Happy Love Day everyday and commemorate this on February 14, if we so desire.
